With all the talk about the problems with these I drive such a way that I never lift the front of car. Should they be cycled once in a while just to keep seals or pumps in shape?

The main point is not to drive over bumps etc. when the car is raised. That puts extra pressure on the seals. If ia a parking lot etc. I stop the car. Raise the car then proceed slowly and finally lower the car again. have had no problems in two years.

Right, I think too much has been made of NOT using them, just don't abuse them, mine are in fine shape.
