I did speak with Peirre from transport Canada today and he told me that the Canadian dealers have very little to do with there decision to allow these cars to be imported to Canada. The manufacturer has to notify TC and RIV that they comply US and Canadian safety standards and that there is no recalls, he also said that if I can get a letter from Lamborghini of north America or the manufacturer stating that these cars do comply along with contact info to verify the document then we have good chance to make this happen. The contact for Lamborghini north America is Kenneth Mckay at 781-780-0600
Peirre said good luck with this guy, he does not seem to want to co-operate. Does anyone have the email address for Automobile Lamborghini Itali? I'll be all over this one like a fat kid on a smarti... |

The guy in the East at John Scotti has his head so far up his ***. He just told us that no car can come into the country, no matter how old. He got very aggressive and said he is in the car business and we should mind our own. Canada Customs and the RIV both suggest any car older than 15 years is importable with no alterations, but is subject to duty and GST.
Which puts Countachs' and early Diablo's 40 grand less than they charge, so why would he tell the truth? I think it will be more difficult getting the newer stuff in though. They are very guarded about their market and why not? No need to lie though.
