Default Importing to Canada

1st post, been lurking around to long and its time to come out of the closet.
I have found a 04 Gallardo that I would like to buy and its not on the list of
admissable vehicles to import. Has anyone imported one or would know who to
contact to get some info on the process.
Thanks

It's not on the list because it's not allowed.

Good Luck!!!
This topic has been beat to death... by me!
Long story short...
Lambo Canada owns the three dealerships in Canada. Them, along with Lambo North America and my buddy Pierre at Transport Canada make a decision on admisiblity on a case-by-case basis.
It is very hard but not impossible. There have been to date, no current production vehicals brought into Canada. There have been a handful of diablos that were allowed to come in. The only mod, I believe is daytime running lights. But you still need to get all the info on the car. I was also told I need to get a letter from Italy, saying the car meets US standards. Then you get Lambo North America to say it meets Canadian standards or what modifications need to be done. Then, basically Transport Canada phones Lambo Canada (who owns all the dealerships) and says should we let this car in. That is a gamble, because why should they say yes. They are allowing the same in that they could of sold for alot cheaper.
Get the VIN of the car and try it! Let me know what happens because I'll be right behind you... Roy can't wait!!!

Yes i did send a fax to your friend Pierre at transport Canada along with a letter from Lamborghini saying that it does meet US and Canada safety standards, I spoke with a buyer today from Ontario that just bought an 03
Murc from Ron Frost of Lamborghini Ohio and is having it shipped up next week, I'll keep you posted to see if he is successful, maybe it will open up the flood gates.

I am also working another ANGLE>.....HERE IT IS....

As a CANADIAN resident, (legal) you rent a Apartment from me in Oregon for a period of 181 days. In that time you buy a LAMBO, leave it here in Oregon, titled to you. After 181 of it being titled here, you take it back to Canada, ALL legal....you still have to pay your GST and the such but it does work..I have had it checked out.......

The down SIDE, you have to pay rent for an Apartment, about $1200 USA for 7 months, BUT you PAY no tax on the car here in Oregon.

Of course the home in Oregon was for a "Try out to see if you wanted to MOVE to the USA" but you changed your mind!! So now you CAN take you USA purchased property BACK to Canada. The CAR MAY NOT leave Oregon for any reason for these 181 days of title.......

THERE is ALWAYS a WAY!!!!!!!
