Default If you have to ask, you can't afford...

Hey guys, I'm kind of a new user, usually just come to look at the pics and read the threads. I currently have a rare emerald green Viper love the car, but as an addict one nice car is never enough.

I figured I should probably ask, just incase one of these days I end up getting something.

What is the maintenance schedule like on the Gallardo and Merci? Routine stuff, and price?

A lot of times, same with the Viper, the cars are relatively cheap compared to when the car breaks, sometimes it is just cheaper to buy a second car for parts.

I bought my car new so I can't what the annual cost outlay is, but if you call someone at one of the Lambo service departments they will give you a good idea. Someone posted on another forum that he budgets $10k a year. I don't think that number is too far off for a Murc. Much depends on the miles you intend to drive. I've got 3,800 miles on my car and I fix the minor underside nose scrapes every time I go in for minor/routine stuff. I've spent about $5k so far I'm guessing and I'm one of those owners who wants my car perfect at all times.

10k gives me an idea, one of these days I will have to get around to talking to a dealer, there is just none in this state....

I understand most owners are want everything to look prestine, new, etc. I am happy for them...But I am more of one of those guys, especially in the state I live in, where you wash it, and it already has dirt on it, so I just kind of dont care much, would much rather just drive and enjoy.

I live in New Mexico....Not exactly a supercar state. Most of the people here that have supercars are to chicken to drive them and you may only see them once in your lifetime.

That's a shame. I cosider the cost well worth it and if you get the chance, visit one of the dealers out west. Lamborghini OC treated me well from the start.
