Smile I was just wondering why.

Hi, I don't own a Lamborghini, and probably won't in the near future, but I do look lovingly at them on Ebay and DuPont Registry. What I'd like to know is why these beautiful machines have so few miles on them. Is it to keep the value up? Is it that they are temperamental, and need constant care? Is it fear of an accident? For example, I would really like to know why a Diablo from 1999 has only 2958 miles on it. If anyone can enlighten me I would be much appreciative. Thank you. Arthur Frampton.

its a mixture of what you sayed and the fact that these cars are bought usualy as a secon or third car..not realy the daily driver or even weekly for some... other drive only in the summer.. and so on. my diablo a 98 has 26000 km's on it. my lm002 about 13000km's and my murci has alittle over 9000km's.

this subject has been discussed at leangth before.. try doing a search and see the old answwrs to this question.

Arthur,

I just bought a 08 Gallardo Spyder and I have put 350 miles on it in less than a month. This is as Abuna puts it my third car. I will probably put 1000 to 1500 per year at most. I think for me a big part of it is I just can't take it everywhere I would like to because of parking and other things.

I won't drive it if it is raining or even if there are heavy winds. I will probably will use it only on weekends, but right now I am driving it more than what I would consider normal for me, because I just love driving it! It is more fun than I thought possible. I wish everyone could experience this at least once. When I bring it to work I am excited all day long just knowing it is in the garage waiting for me to drive it home.

I know it is a sickness, one I am completely enjoying!

Aloha Russ

And that's quite a feat in Hawaii, I'd presume. Russ, do you ever just yell out, "YAHOOOOO!!!!" with the top down, while everyone around says, "I think I heard a car go by, but there was some guy screaming, and I couldn't tell"?

Taurean,

Ha ha! You could hear my yahoo blocks away! I think driving at night with the top down is just about as good as it gets, the stars, the sound and the smell of leather!

Aloha Russ

Russ, isn't it going to kill you driving it only 1200mi/year if it's so much fun to drive? That's 100 miles PER MONTH...that'd kill me!

sb,

Funny you asked, because I was thinking the same thing after it sitting in the garage for 2 days. I can't wait to get back behind the wheel. I don't know for sure but this car might break me down. I keep thinking I will drive it for special occasions, and then I thought that everyday I am alive should be a special occasion. maybe I need to re-evaluate my thinking!

Aloha Russ
