I just purchased a '04 Gallardo, unfortunately it did come with the front raising suspension system. So I have to be very careful when coming out of a drive-ways. But there are times when the nose does scrape......Are there any front nose skid plates or something to that effect that can help protect the bottom nose better. Does anyone know of any company that sells an after-market skid plate?

A buddy of mine actually installed roller skate wheels on each side of his. Kinda neat the way he installed them I will try to see if I can have him email me pics. This way the skirt actually rides on the wheels instead of the plastic. It works really well and unless you get on your hands and kness and really look for them you can't see the wheels.

There is a guy on E-bay that sells what is called horse shoes, basically a pastic/nylon type material that bolts to the bottom of the bumper that will contact the ground and slide instead of damaging the painted bumper.
He has them for Gallardo's but they require you to drill and bolt them on, it doesn't use existing holes or mounting locations. His contact info is in this E-bay listing, note the auction is for F-cars but the description indicated Gallardo's as well. I have contacted him and he does in fact carry for Gallardo's for around the same price as the F-cars. http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...DME:L:RTQ:CA:1 |

Lambo OC is experimenting with something. The problem with drilling holes is that you run the risk of tearing out the screw heads. As soon as I find something, I'll post it. I do my best to pay attention, but it does happen to everyone I know.

Very old thread, but, my advice is live with it. What would be the point of protecting the painted bottom of the bumper if you are going to drill holes in it??? I really like the roller skate wheel idea, genius!

Ive got the plastic ones on my 04 and they work good. There is also a guy selling metal ones for a few dollars more, but the plastic is thicker and I would rather have something give and wear a bit than have hard contact. I did lower my G and it does really save scraping the paint and ruining the front spoiler..
