The tide has shifted towards e-gear in a very big way as you can see from my earlier post. Lamborghini offers both because there are enough who still want manual and don't want to switch, and they are happy. E-gear sounds complicated and confusing when it's actually very easy to use. I'd not go back to manual myself and I don't know anyone that would other than what's been posted here. I strongly suggest talking to a dealer for some insight. Be sure and drive an e-gear car before you make your final decision.

drive a used e-gear to make sure you like it. Then drive a manual if you can right after it.
My dealer sold me on the e-gear for re-sale value which makes some sense when you consider the owner profiles and preferences... but you have to happy with it, nobody else.

Sandy is right. You should drive both tranny and find out which one you prefer. A dealer tried to talk me into getting an Egear for resale value but I didn't buy this car for that reason. I bought it for me and my liking. I was in your shoes before I got my Gallardo. Unfortunately, I did not drive the manual then. Remember the Gallardo manual is not your typical manual, it needs some getting used to.
