Have a 99' Diablo Roadster Looking to get a little more power out of. Wondering about ECU upgrades or who to send it to to get chipped. Anybody have any experience?

roy how has this effected the car performance wise , mechaniclly and is there a warrenty / guarentee on the part that you know of and any ill action caused to your car if there is one ? Thanks .

I did notice a better lower end response...I had no ll re-actions at all..never asked Steve about a warranty...but again I have never had a problem with him..I also am not sure BUT I think he ran some dyno figures befor and after on a 6.0...may check with him...tell him I sent u..

shot an e-mail to them and they said only diablos , no ecu upgrades for the murci yet . he said he is looking to come out for one for the early year murci first and hopefully soon .

I want to do the same on mine. I will try to see if I could find someone to do it and will let you know.

While in Italy visiting the factory for technical training I spoke to Massimo, Lamborghini's head technical instructor who has been with Lamborghini for 24 years. According to him, ECU modifications outside of the Lamborghini factory are not possible. He and his colleagues have even shopped around and payed for ECU modifications from vendors in europe and the US and have tested said "modified" ECU's and found them to be absolutely stock. There are, however, rumors of insiders at Lamborghini modifying these ECU's in house and selling their services to shops in different parts of the world.

Take it for what it's worth. Be careful-Don't be too quick to hand $$ to anyone who says they can modify your ECU!

this was my understanding as well.

Yes, I am awarer that is a fact for 2004 and up cars, all ecu's are locked out...not sure on early models...not a mechanice so cant tell you what they did or how they did it...do know they were taken out of the car and sent off to a computer guy in San Jose...that is my 97 1/2 roadster as well as my 2001 6.0 SE #19
