What are the signs your clutch may be going?

If your feel clutch slips a lot...
You can tell when the clutch is slipping when your RPM jumps in higher gears like 5th or 6th

Any clutch slip without you touching the clutch pedal really.

Hard shifts are more likely to be the clutch slave (or master) going out.

Ah like that...

Do you feel any difference on the pedal? lighter to press, engages further down, etc?

My master went out. I have a spare for an LP560 (Lambostuff listed the wrong P/N )

Well those don't sound good. Not sure if it is really anything. I must confess any little thing and a slight panick attack occurs.
What would a clutch slave run? It might be there is a little play at the top of the pedal. Car has about 6000 miles on it. From the report I got when I bought it the clutch had about 85% left on it. I try to really baby it so hopefully I haven't jacked it up in the 2000 miles I have owned it.

The slave is the throwout/thrust bearing. $700 but you're looking at serious labour since you have to pull the gearbox off. Master is about 3-400 and right behind the pedal so a lot less work.

a little play at the top of the pedal is normal. I'd say about 1/4 inch. if you're clutching in fully and are grinding gears there's definitely an issue. Remember the more worn the clutch is, the higher the catching point. So the LESS likely you are to grind the gears.
