That can put a damper on your desire for speed.

Who's whining? I'm just trying to illustrate a point. People that hold views like mine are generally considered "fringe" and don't get the attention that the majority (that believe spoon fed government data) do. The majority are idiots, and the majority get people into office - that's why I DON'T CALL THE POLITICIANS AND COMPLAIN.

Way to reduce fuel consumption is not to reduce speedlimits, europe we know this, it is to use les fuel.
For example:
car x (made in Europe) 2litre diesel, here they give fuelconsumption for city:31.36mpg, for road:49mpg

car is like eny average car made in US, except better quality.

Today a read that GM's is going bad and going to leave a "big corpse" behind that Koreans and India to buy.

I took my family to Germany for vacation 6 years ago. I rented a BMW 328i. It was about out of gas so I found a station that was about 1.40 or so euro. Since I was turning in the car the next day I didn't want to fill it as I'd already paid for a tank when I rented it. I put in 5 gallons (I thought) and took off. Man, that tank must be huge because the needle didn't even move! Oh yea, litre not gallon. I wondered why the attendant looked at me that way.
