LOL!! Very funny pic.
The limit on the freeway here is 75 mph.
Starting from 90, you're risking very high fines, and your license to be revoked for a couple of weeks (or months, depending).
Jail? Nah, unless you're drunk as well of course

Fines... Tickets... happy to pay.

Here is how it goes in my country:

Progressive fine system, more money you make, more you pay.
Polise checks how much money did you make last year by month, this happens on the road by mobilephone and writes ticket to you from this information. If you drive 65km/h in 50km/h zone, normal wage-earner might get 180€ tikcet,

If you make bit moore money then wage-earner you might get bit moore:

Finnish record for largest ticket is: for board member of Nokia (65km/ in 50km/h);

116000€ (182619.36$$$)

Fuel economy in US, what!?

Tahoe hybrid named Green Car of the Year

"21 mpg in city driving -- a 50 percent improvement."

What a ridiculous country the USA has become. For the 'Land of the Free', the laws certainly don't reflect such a claim. A few examples:

1) confiscation of property (if your son is a drug dealer, and he has some in your house, the Feds can confiscate your house, even if you had no knowledge of it).

2) many cars available in the rest of the world are 'not allowed' by the US Gov.

3) speed limits...

4) militarized police

5) FDA rejecting terminally ill patients the use of drugs freely available in European countries.

6) pushing elderly and retired out of their homes due to increasing property taxes (in Europe, most property taxes are frozen at retirement age, and only reset when sold)

.......as for the original comment regarding speed limits of 55, that was originally imposed because of a 'gas shortage' (later proven completely false). There is no gas shortage now. If I want to use more gas (and pay for it) by driving faster, why should I not have the 'freedom' to do so...?

As much as I love your country, I have to admit you're right

That's a good starting list. Boy could I pick up where you left off, but something tells me not to.

About the world situation as it pertains to Lamborghini, what looked like a sparkling future a couple of years ago sure dosen't look that way now. In addition to fuel conservation, now we've got tougher speed laws on the horizon. Lamborghini's might become a mute point. NOT GOOD!

That picture is hilarious .... I agree though. I would just drive straight to jail if the limit was 55 on the highway.

I have a Finnish friend who is a F1 car mechanic, most of the time he's abroad, but his residence is in my home town. He can drink as much beer as any Belgian

It is a shame what has been happening, little by little. And people are just beginning to realize that the freedoms they had yesterday can be gone tomorrow.
