Unhappy 2004 Gallardo worth buying?

Hello guys,

Is it worth buying a Gallardo 2004, 4K miles, 6 speed? Or should get a newer model? I have enought o buy a 2004 right now. I am not desperate and would like to get a car that won't be in the shop all the time.

Also, what is the cost of service for this model? Am I in a amount shocker every time it needs service/repairs?

Thanks
Charlie

2004 was the first year for the Gallardo. I believe there's something to not buying the first model year of a particular model. Undoubtedly the newer ones have whatever glitches and improvements sorted out. If your an average first time buyer, paying extra for upgrades that have nothing to do with reliability is not worth it IMO. In general, the Gallardo is very reliable.

From now on Gallardo's are going to do nothing but fall in price unless Lamborghini slashes production sharply which is a distinct possibility, and could cause prices to spike up. (Oh if only we had a crystal ball Just buy the newest one you can comfortably afford, while allowing some OUCH! money for nasty surprises. I'd say $5K and don't worry about resale. The amount to allow after that depends on how often you use it and what interest you have in learning and working on the car yourself. Just one of many opinions.

After having wasted my brain cells on your answer and since you have a frown at the beginning of your question, and are scared to death...Don't do it. LOL.

Default Hola

Thanks for the info. Re the frown, hit the wrong emoticon. Likely I'll wait for the prices to continue to drop.
