Default 1991 Diablo vs 2007 Porsche turbo

(No flames, please; and I'm NOT trolling).
Totally different cars, but which one would you rather have?

Porsches are very good sports cars, can be used daily driven, and its less dramatic. I'm even sure the Porsche is faster and more comfortable than the Diablo. Reviews always rave about them, and I've watched many tv programs, numbering the "Porsche 911" as the greatest sports car overall. Theres reasons why people like Jerry Seinfeld have 100s of them.

The Diablo.... way more prettier, way more dramatic, interior is gorgeous, V12, Panty-Dropper, and im sure it will put a smile on your face(and others) every time you look at or drive it.

Without a millisecond of hesitation the Diablo of course. Being a daily driver and creature comforts are NOT desirable features in a supercar. Also Porsches are NOT exotic, the styling inspires a look and a yawn, the exhaust note can be confused with a sewing machine, and even if the performance is better it cannot be appreciated on the street.

Diablo hands down. The Diablo is a true driver's car. No traction control. No ABS. No power steering. The Porsche is a well balanced, well manered sports enthusiest's car that is so driveable, the driver becomes disconnected. You dont have to think using a Porsche, the car can pretty much drive itself.

Have you been inside a new Porsche? Whatever they use for leather smells like plastic. The Leather in the Diablo smells like real, leather.
Yes, the Diablo has all its own idiosyncracies, but that is why I love it. When I step on the gas, I hear all the passion that went into building my car, by hand, one at a time.

The Porsche is a good daily driver, but for that, there are a lot of choices. You could buy a mini at a quarter of the price and have just as much fun.

Seriously... what answer do you really expect posting that question in a Lambo forum?

I am going to be honest, if you are going to drive them I would get the Porsche only cause of the repair horror stories I hear about those 91 Diablos, I had a couple of Turbos in my life - nothing beats the ass on a Turbo - maybe a Gallardo compared to the Turbo, that might be closer but for the 130k you will pay for a Turbo you could get a nice Gallardo - now that I would get over a turbo for the "WoW" factor

I have both, a 91 DIablo and a 2004 996 Carrera 2. The Porshce is well engineered, easy to drive and surprisingly quick. Its the daily beater, there is no comparison to be made between these two cars.

The solution to this is get a Diablo with the clutch, chain tensioner etc upgrades.

What do you want? reliabilty as a daily beater or a bling bling show off car with extreme drivability? you have a beater but if wanting something less refined and extreme, get the diablo. However, it was a bad choice to compare diablo and the turbo, just because their market value are parallel.
