Default 1991 diablo clutch master cylinder

can any one out there help. I have just purchased a 1991 diablo vt.I live in Australia and the car has been an import and converted from left hand drive to right hand drive.I ham currently having clutch problems.I have been assured It has a new clutch plate pressure plate & also thrust bearing.I have been told the clutch master cylinder could be of another car?
the problem is the clutch master is not making the slave cylinder throw enough to disengage gears and if you extend the slave cylinder rod more than specs it will diisengage gears but will cause the clutch to slip.has any one out there have a pic of the original clutch master cylinder or can they tell me where is the best place to buy one. Also a part number would be great and also is it the same as a Alfa Romeo clutch master Cylinder.
thanks
shalin

4219984 is the part number.
Make sure the push rod for the master cylinder is adjusted correctly. There should be maybe 1 mm free play. If it is not adjusted correctly you can adjust the slave all you want and will not get everything to work correctly.
If you wish I will try and find you a new on, but first check the push rod.

Slightly off topic but I didn't think they made a VT in 91. Are you sure its a VT?

I think that is a valid question, it may have the VT on the rear of the car but that was an add on. They didn't make a VT in 91, it was the first year and all of them were 2WD.

I have diablo clutch slave cylinders: http://www.countach.ch/Sale.html

When you use the wrong slave the fluid the master is able to push into the slave might be to less to separate the clutch completely, I made this experience with my Jalpa, Lamborghini sleeved the slaves for lesser diameter. That's the reason why a Jalpa slave costs you $600 although the original Alfa parts is only $60, it will not work....

There is NO 1991 VT, the first VT came 1993! Post the Vin and we will explain you...
