Question 05 Corvette Z06 500+ vs. Gallardo 520

I've read numerous articles stating that the new Corvette Z06, at 65K, will hit 0-60 in 3.7 (or 3.5) and will reach a top speed of 198. WTF. Please tell me the 200K Gallardo will outpace it!!!! but, isn't the G-car now 0-60 in 3.9? and top out around 196?

Amazing what difference a few tenth's of a second makes to the male ego.
In any case, I doubt anybody considering a Gallardo is going to opt for the chevy because of it. Incidently a well tuned ricer could probably give the Gallardo a run for it's money too but.......

The Z06 does not turn heads. It's a glorified Camero.

My C5 was pretty fun to drive..so I thought. I have been a life-long Corvette guy. I have had over 15 Corvettes of various years. Right now I own 2, a 2002 C5 convertible (Red with red leather) and a 1994 ZR1 (Torch Red with Black leather). I will never sell the ZR1, but the C5 holds no pleasure to even look at anymore. I have contemplated a Z06, but it never materialized. In the end, a Z06 is a Corvette, a fairly common car and a Lamborghini is a true exotic. I love and respect Corvettes, but at this point in my life I am going the way of the Bull.
