For reference I'd like to post the findings on how we found the firing order experimentally:

If you number the cylinders 1-6 on the passenger bank 1 being the cylinder in the front of the car, and 7-12 on the driver bank with 12 being the cylinder in the front of the car. The firing order is:

1-7-5-11-3-9-6-12-2-8-4-10

____
rear

6 7
5 8
4 9
3 10
2 11
1 12

Front

I color coded both sides to segregate the banks. If you concentrate on the 1-6 numbers you will notice that it is the same firing order as any old inline 6 cylinder engine (chevy, jeep, etc.). infact 7-12 is that same firing order if you match those up, so all you're really doing is mashing two 6 cylinder engines together (stupid simple).

All day we've been following other folks' firing orders trying to get this ol' lambo running. When we finally did the engine was maybe running on 6 cylinders tops, but in those few moments we did have it running the firing order seemed to come to us as if we could hear every backfire in slow motion. When the firing order of a standard 6 cylinder was brought up I immediately checked to see if the engine would fire in a balanced order. Sure enough 1:7 oppose in a cross; 5:11 oppose in a cross... etc. etc...

After today I've noticed many folks are confused about their firing order on many different models. Hopefully this post might make it across the forum to those who need it.

Pancho Villa,
Thanks for the information, I think what gets most people confused is the way they number the cylinders, as in your representation. Just for reference here is the thread to the electronic ignition istallation I did on the Espada.

Yes, that is Olivier N's site. He is a regular on Lamborgh..chat.com on the Jarama section.

I have meant to tell him that I have not been able to see the registry on his site for quite sometime.
