Default So who won the debate

First let me say that I respect everybody's opinion and hope everyone who responds will do the same. I listened objectively judging the content of the answers without bias to either party.

I thought Palin did as good as she could have for the 5 weeks or so that she's had to prepare, But you've got a novice against an old pro. Biden is in another league. His knowledge and experience are deep, and It's unfair to expect Palin to match him on any subject. Her answers were shallow and repetitious. I thought Biden effectively pounded MCain and Palin was inept at defending him.

Palin is not ready to lead anything more than her kids hockey team.

I disagree wholeheartedly. Palin cut both Biden and Obama to peices AND made Biden recant his remarks on several occasions.

I can't really see how you would mark this for a win for Biden, or even think he performed admirably.

I would really like to see more views on this.

EDIT:
Raymondo, I think we may be the only two people stodgy enough to watch this stuff!

I'm not a US citizen but I got up very (very) early this morning to watch the debate live. As Europeans we're very concerned about who will be leading your country in the near future. The effects of the economical crisis in the US are hitting us like a tsunami now... So I hope you don't mind me expressing my opnion.
I totally agree with Raymondo: Palin is way out of her league, she doesn't know the first thing about politics.

I didn't watch the entire thing, but from what I saw at the beginning, Palin was obviously nervous, with crackling in her voice. That absolutely cannot happen when she is meeting heads of state. Though I like her as a person, I'm not sure she can get up to speed quickly enough. I decided not to watch the entire thing, because I am still sticking with my guns, and saying that no candidate is going to really change anything.

I watched as well..,I agree here..I think she started off a little shaky but she came back roaring and put him in his place...made him look like the same old number saying crap from the old guard..

I think the wind does go to her..

I agree with Roy and the Ferrari hater. I thought the spotlight was on her the entire time. I know Biden had a conservative approach because of Obama's lead in the poles, but everytime Palin called him out all he did was laugh.
Most imporatntly, I think the debate legitimized her to a good number of people. I don't think anyone will vote for McCain because of last night, but I think the undecideds leaning his way will feel more comfortable after last night.

Funny you say that, about him laughing..I also noted that as well as his head shaking no and smiles and smirks..I thought it was very be-littliong to her and un-professional on his part..I think he lost some points for his re-actions...IMO

Wow, I didn't know about all that stuff. I'm going to get on youtube and watch it now. I don't want to rush to judgement, but if he did that, shame on him for not taking her seriously. Maybe he's scared?
