Question how do they buy concept cars??

hi guys... i freind of mine sent me some pics of what i know to be a consept car, as in it was probably made of clay with wheels...

this car was in europe this summer with qatari plates...

is this posible? or is it some kind of mercedes way of getting more exposure??

That is a unique looking car, however if it was made of clay it would not have an interior.

I know Ford had a recent auction to sell a lot of its one-offs and concept cars. So it is possible to own, though it may not run or even be street legal!

Actually you're missing the point. You originally posted that it was probably made of clay.

I corrected your statement. How is that missing the point?


A clay model is very different from a concept vehicle.

A clay model is just that... a pile of clay that represents the likeness of the car.

A concept has a full interior and is a rollier at a minimum. Some actually have drivetrains and can be driven, not at highway speeds but they can move under their own power.

There are some concepts that are very functionable.

The Germans tend to do this more often than others.

VW W12... very fast, very drivable.


VW GTI with the W12 Engine...


Audi LeMans Concept (Audi R8)


Chrysler Concept 8... very fast, very drivable.

This is quite the machine, sweetness for 780g's Euros or there off.check this out!... just a tad over 1100 hp, and even more insane gobs of tire shredding tq;
