Default Help me!

Hey guys,

I'm 17 years old and I'm about the graduate from high school. As of now, I am unsure of what I want to do with my life, so I need your input! What did you guys major in? I'm leaning towards the business way, but I want to know what else people have succeeded with. Also, what did you do with the major you got? What are you doing now? My brother in law is in the restaurant business and he is making a lot of money, so I'd like to know what else is out there for me.

I need to know where to go in my life!

Danny

You can never go wrong with post secondary education in the area of Business Administration or Commerce. Even if you choose to branch out into other areas (ie. Law, Medicine, Engineering) the fundamentals that you learn in Admin. will help you in the future.

I've given this advice to every young person entering into university. Some of them started out pre-med, pre-law etc. Ultimately most didn't follow my advice until 2 or 3 years into their studies. That's a costly lesson to learn.

Good luck

Actually Business Administration is the first one on my list, the only problem is that everybody wants it. And the strategy that people have used to get it before by applying for a different major then switching isn't working anymore in most colleges because they caught on to it - lol.

Stockbroking baby !!!!!!!!!! Look into it . You have the ability to write your own check each month if you are good at it and the timing is right . Very stressful but well worth it . Sales is the key . Hey at 32 years old im already on my 2nd Lamborghini . Owned my first at 28 . Best part of it is that i have only 1 year of college under my belt & im no trust fund baby lol , the incomes all me ..... Good luck SB ! As far as college is concerned i think its over rated , but thats me . Im sure Bill Gates , Steve Balmer , Michael Dell , Larry Ellison etc ..... Would agree with me , all didnt go to college & are some of the richest men in the world . lol . Not suggesting that you dont go to college but just thought that was an interesting fact ... Again best of luck to you and with your future .....

Lol it's funny you mention that because in my Economy class we're doing an online stock challenge and I've made 12k in about 35 days. What exactly do you do in stockbroking? Buy and sell stocks? Stock advice? Stocks have always interested me ever since I learned about them. That's definately a path I would seriously look into. Thanks for the advice! I hope that one day I can say the same success story as you do with two lambos and everything!

If you can find something you like and can somehow make it a job/career out if it, you will be a very happy person.

Business all the way!

I handle portfolios for international clients . I choose which stocks to buy & sell for them and execute the trades as well . It really is an excellent job with unlimitied potentiol . But as vwa2mkii said you have to love what you do , not that i love the job so much , just the paychecks , lol . Anyway any other questions you may have about the buss. , just ask . Otherwise , as i said before best of luck to you and remember any job that puts you in a Lambo is a good one !!!!!

Exactly, "You have to love what you do"...perfectly put. Don't do something you will regret doing the rest of your life. However, there are those people that really hate what they do, but in the end the paycheck makes up for it so they can come to terms with their situation.

I think people have lost the ability to pursue their dreams. There are so many things you can do to get yourself a lamborghini, but to most people owning a lamborghini is a fantasy and to them it will never come true. If you have already given up on your dreams, then what is the point of living? I'm 21 years old and I'll have my lamborghini this summer.
