Well hallelujah. cause thats what i would think it should cost.
...and personally i think their motives are quite clear ;-) just glad to hear its not across the board.

The OP asked about a 360 which means the timing belt is going to have to be changed every three years regardless of mileage (or at least that's the recommendation). If I recall that get's into several thousand dollars pretty quick. There is nothing "cheap" about servicing a 360 and at the end of the day it's a lesser car in most regards than a Gallardo.

I guess it's possible to spend $10K a year for maintenance, but I'm sure I haven't spent $5K on both of my Diablo's over three years combined, and they're kept up.

I think it would help reduce your cost if you yourself knows anything about engine. At least you could do your own change oils and other stuff. As for me, I heavily rely on the dealer. If they charge me too much, there's nothing I could do about it.

I'm betting thats where most people are with them. I found a DiY on oil changes and its much like it is with the 911TT, so im not too scared. I'm thinking i can get the basic stuff done without ever stepping into a dealer.

There is a kid on one of our Rhode Island car forums that worked at Jiffy Lube, and there was a red Ferrari 360 that came in to get an oil change. This kid and his buddy took pictures of them sitting in the car. I'll try to find the tread. This Ferrari owner must have been out of town or really strapped for cash. lol

Haha, did they actually do the service? Suprised they would have the tools, know how, proper filter or oil...

Major on a 360 the engine doesn't come out of the car, every 3 years the belts need replacement. The clutch can pass the $5,000 and the major is what I think est. at $5,500. Parts are expensive, just the ecu for the climate control is either $2,200 or $2,700, mine went bad and don't remember well. A 360 without warranty can be expensive, so better keep $10,000 in the bank after the buy for any surprises. Do a PPI.
