with the rising price of fuel and our major manufacturer claiming the biggest profit they have ever made....we can do somthing. and these cars use fuel!
BOYCOTT exxon/mobil. if we even go somewhere else for gas 1 time a week and every one follows this they will end up with a surplus of fuel and a record drop in profits. this will mean reduction in fuel prices. we need to stop b*tching about it and do somthing. we can as a people actualy do somthing about this. so join me and lets drop the pump price! |

Chad,
I also don't think that a PRIVATE bank cartel (the Fed/FOMC) should dictate public monetary policy and M3. But that's me. . . In truth, Ben Bernanke is my best friend right now, without him, my gold might still only be worth $600/oz. And without Greenspank, only $250! ![]() XSCash, who's to say that some members here don't own Exxon/Mobil stock? Check them (XOM), they haven't done that great over the last 6 months. . . |

Advocating the Boycotting of oil companies is a ridiculous for several reasons. first, owners driving gas guzzling Lambo's should be the last ones to be vocal about it. Heck, we should be ashamed of ourselves, but we are too raped up in materialism and selves to do that.
The American consumer is to blame for ALL the economies woes. Not the federal reserve, not the government, and not corporations. Years of extravagant gluttonous, wasteful consumption has caught up with this country, and what's more sickening is the rest of the worlds health is dependent on our continuance of this lifestyle, but now it's time to pay the piper and SHARE. Time was when America could snap it's fingers and have the rest of the world at it's feet. Not anymore, they want their share and are fighting for natural resources to get it....China the biggest competitor. You could make the case that Americans should be encouraging the major oil companies to get out there and find new sources of oil rather than holding them in contempt. So, instead of bashing just own energy companies. Isn't that the American way? As far as the working poor, elderly, or poverty stricken families. Capitalism has no mercy on these poor souls. If you want to cure this problem, then turn to Socialism. Last edited by raymondo : 03-16-2008 at 10:42 AM. |
