By HoldenC4 on another thread refering to this one: "Question: Why is your pal Brian jacking my threads?"
I read this thread, Brian answered questions with high level of experience and education that would threaten detailers who know less. The only personal attack I saw (or drama) is when, out of the blue, you chimmed in with your second fiddle comment, which directly involves me (obviously stating that he is second fiddle to me). I will only dignfiy this response. Brian didn't call you out on this thread, he gave insightful answers to help the community. The only person offended was you, which calls into the question, what was the motive of this thread? To help the community or self-promotion? Perhaps a better thread title would have been “Hi I am trying to market myself so I am going to answer any questions about detailing to the best of my ability” or “Nobody allowed to answer but me.”. The second fiddle comment is out of line. You wanted to work with me in Orlando, would that have made you second fiddle as well? Brian has done work for my company (because I trust his experience and intellegence) even if his personal company focuses on a slightly different market. To my knowledge Brian has never made outrageous claims nor has he relied on the help of others to maintain his image. Last edited by Todd Helme; 02-12-2009 at 04:35 PM.. |

Great question I thought that myself but didn't want to question the legal ramifacations publicly even though he decided to attack me. To be honest I didn't like the make up of this thread on the idea that someone from another country was advertising to do work in many U.S. cities that already have well respected and highly talented detailers. In these trying economic times, I am spending all my money locally, in effort to keep my neighbors afloat from the bottom to the top, including tax preparing businesses. If I were to go to mexico for monetary gain, how would I go about claiming my peso's?

As a professional detailer myself and having witnessed the OP on several detail related forums, I personally find his detailing ability & knowledge as truly sub-par. This thread is no more than an obvious attempt to market himself. I feel he is no more than a regurgitated compilation of his internet idols. It’s unfortunate that so many people self proclaim themselves as “Professional” with no more than studying others on the internet.
Feel free to judge for yourself if you’d want this guy working out paint defects on your $300K Lamborghini: YouTube - Machine Polishing with Foamed Wool YouTube - Apollo Detailing Machine Polishing BMW YouTube - Apollo Detailing: Machine Polishing Mazda 3 YouTube - Apollo Detailing Claybar Application |

Regardless. I am glad someone started this thread. There is a mark on my passenger side dash that I am not sure how to handle. It appears that someone left a warning sticker on the leather too long and the result is a noticeable rectangle gooey mess that someone made a half ass attempt to clean up. Any suggesions for getting this off without damaging or fading the leather? Thanks.
