Default V10 Audi R8 ?????

http://www.caranddriver.com/carnews/...udi-r8-rs.html

What in the world is Audi trying to do here. They are pretty much borrowing Gallardo's engine for their new R8 -RS. Do you guys think they really need a V10 R8. I mean who are they trying to compete here. I hope the Santa Agata factory boosts Gallardo's HP and make it more closer to the 600 HP. No one would like to see their engines in a car which is about $50,000 cheaper then Gallardo. I wish if Lamborghini was an independent company.

Don't worry. The R8's V10 will be less powerful than the current Gallardos. And I think they're going to bump the Gallardos HP/Torque up a bit pretty soon here...

I'm pretty excited for the V10 R8 however. Here is a picture of the prototype. It shows the wide(er) side airscoops and different sideskirts compaired to the V8 R8. I think it would look awesome in an a bright color like red, yellow or white. The reason why Audi is doing this is because they are trying to take a step forward in directly completeting with BMW (overtime planning to take over BMWs & Mercedes-Benz's sales) ... The R8 is an engineering toy, and both a marketing ploy to get some more attention for Audi. This is the first step for them for much more steps ahead of the company.

You'd be even more mad if you seen the first prototype of the R8. It was running around on Gallardo wheels.

Old news. Get to used to the fact that Lamborghini is not a pure company anymore and never will be. Boosting HP doesn't' make it more Lamborghini either.

i was offered one yesterday, from germany. i passed, i dont think the styling is to my taste.

i feel that audi kind of screwed up all there model styling by making those front air intakes too big.

i bought an a8 when they first came out, gull option and 8 cylinder. it was amaizing, so im sure all there cars are the same.

Audi has already offered the V10 Gallardo motor in their S8 already too. Don't be too alarmed.

Looks a bit different, and it will look different again in the R8.

Wow, nothing shouts "Sedan" more than that. Same old familiar shape on 90% of cars.
