Was it with Chip (silver GT3) or Rafael (yellow)?

Will you be there in early June? I'd love a ride in the Radical!

Actually with Gavin, it was a white GT3. I'll be there both days in June and heading up to Barber later this month. I'm hoping to get my solo checkout on the June Saturday, then I could give you a ride, but if not, my friend Jamie will be there with his SR3 and he can; he's a much better driver so you may want to go on that ride instead anyway, my best so far is 2:45 at Sebring while he does a 2:19

In the UK they can be, I've been told but haven't confirmed that you could make them street legal in some states in the US, like Nevada, but you'd never want to actually drive on the street since you'd need street tires and with the horrible condition of most US roads, you'd have issues with certain bumps since the ground clearance is between 50 and 100 mm. The other issue would be cooling; you'd need the additional front-mounted radiator because it includes electric fans; the stock rear-mounted radiator is passively cooled so you're only cooling while moving.

Entry level Radical used will be in the $40 to $60k range. I bought mine from http://www.pvmracing.com/forsale.php

Just awesome! Thanks for the link. I heard you can register them as kit cars, raise the suspension put on street tires, lights, horn, plates etc. Would be a blast on the street. They have a street kit for states that require collaspable steering column and cats too.

Emery, that is a modified Atom; the owner took the (gas) motor it came with out and put an electrical motor in. Atom does not make electrical cars from the factory, at least not yet.

Hmm, yeah I'm not sure if I'd do that, mine handles noticeably different when going from slicks to my rain tires and those are certainly still much stickier than street tires. If you had to raise it up too on top of that, I think you'd turn it from a hell of a track car into just a hell of a street car, but not one that you'd really want to drive on the street regularly with the lack of creature comforts and the maintenance, engine rebuilds, etc..
