Default McLaren MP4-12C First Photos

Until today it's been known as the P11. Now, we've got the first official photographs of what we told you earlier is now called the McLaren MP4-12C — the first bespoke McLaren road car since the F1. Gallery below.

Gordan Murray didn't have anything to do with this McLaren, that might by why it doesn't resemble the F1 at all.

It's going to cost a little more than Porsche Turbo and compete with Ferraris and the like. (I'm assuming Ferrari 458, Gallardo R8 V10 ect... )

I really dig the rear but I wish the front had a bit more character... its missing something forsure. It kind of actually reminds me of a Honda NSX, which isn't all that bad either. It will definitely be a drivers car!

IMO they should have retained the central seating position for the driver, the two seats either side and slightly to the rear was a good feature.

Agreed the front end has a modena like look. However, the Modena is an amazing car(we enjoy ours). The cars a bit stocky from the pics. Side vents and lambo doors are a nice touch. I have to say I agree with everyone, the front end needs some work..Regardless I would drive that car any day!

It kinda looks like a gallardo, r8 and a modena ran into each other all at once.

Sandy you beat me to it. Until your post I was surprised nobody else had thought "Gallardo" when they saw the aerial shots.

Amber, take a look at how the F1 doors opened. SUPERCARS.NET - Comprehensive Specifications, Galleries & Forums since 1996

I think it looks like an Mitsubishi Eclipse design combine with a ferrari.
