Default Bugatti Veyron Pur Sang

No, this is not 50 Cent's car. This, sir, is the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Pur Sang. And, hoo boy, is it ever shiny. Unveiled at the Volkswagen Group's nonstop extravaganza the night before the Frankfurt show began, the Pur Sang nearly blinded several bystanders. If you don't know Pur Sang means Pure Blood, which is a pretty wicked. It is mechanically identical to every other Veyron, but its body is just polished aluminum and carbon fiber. According to Bugatti, the Pur Sang was created in response to some unnamed customer's desire to have "the most pure car." There will a grand total of five Pur Sang Veyrons and each will cost 1.4 million euros. Four are still available. Paint will cost you extra. -- Daniel Pund, Senior Editor, Detroit

Holy moley!

"Paint will cost you extra"

And. . . why would you paint it? To be the only idiot who painted a car that was purposely unpainted?

'Pur Sang' litterally translates as 'Pure Blood', you're correct. It means 'reduced to it's bare essence'. And that certainly is what this looks like. Wow!

I just read an article in businessweek about it. Not the place to go for car reviews.......but 0-60 in 2.5 seconds... and $1.6 million each. Yeah there's lots of places to use that. These cars are nothing more than museum pieces that will never be used. What good are they except to promote conversation?

Despite its 1001 hp and being one of the fastest cars in the world, Bugatti Veyron’s sales are crawling: the company didn’t sold not even half of the 300 units scheduled for production. It’s true that the high price might be a good reason why this happened, but on the other hand there are lots of millionaires around the world for whom buying a $1.4 million car it’s just a bargain. But what is the reason for low sales then?

A reason might be that the Veyron is produced by Volkswagen - the people’s car company. And people who might have the money to buy one can’t pass the fact that the car, despite its engineering beyond reproach, has the same origins with the most of the cars on the planet.
Bugatti, along with Maybach and Spyker, seems to believe that there is no statute of limitations on the brand appeal of automakers that had their glory days before World War II. And they were hoping that the supercar will sell well because it wears a once-glorious badge.
There are people wondering why the Veyron wasn’t produced by Bentley? What would have been wrong if the world’s fastest car was a Bentley - and might it have sold better that way?
Time will tell whether the Bugatti Veyron is as successful with collectors as it is at decimating speed records. What is undebatable right now is that the select few who own (or lease) a Veyron hold the keys to the world’s greatest automotive thrill ride.

*^^Oops, This is a article that I read on topspeed.
I just copied it.
I personally like the bugatti.

The 'Volkswagen association' argument seems a bit far fetched to me. Everybody knows that Lamborghini belongs to Audi (part of the same conglomerate as VW), but that doesn't keep their business from growing, on the contrary.
By the way, I drove an R8 yesterday (looks a bit like a Veyron's little brother):
incredible car, I'm madly in love.

Most likely, but if I could afford one I'd drive it like I hate it!

For what you pay for a Veyron you can get a much more exclusive Reventon, of course it is much slower and only has 12 clyinders.
