In SoCal, I see kids driving 350Zs and wrecking them....there was a huge discussion on this one in the M5 forum earlier this year:

ABC News: Out-of-Control Teens Die in Travolta Enclave

very sad.

On another note...I was @ the C-class launch..the audio upgrade is very nice..as good as the Lexus. Style wise I didn't like the rear too much. How about getting him the 1-series?

p.s. lucky kid...1st car i bought was from my signing bonus

Hey Chwee, are you back in town? Let me know whenever you want to go to the dealer.

Are for my son, we are still deciding for our kid. So many selections.

Why not the new A4? They come in Quattro, so less chance of oversteer, and those few times it rains in SoCal, it's slippery as hell, so it'll come in handy
Hummer? he may run over my Murcie, no good.

But A4 is a good car. I have used A4 as loaner when I had my Lambo serviced. I am just not too crazy on the shape. But I remember my son likes it. But he likes BMW better.

Can't drive it to work every day? why not? I drive my G. to work almost every day, unless I need to pick up some mulch for the garden....

I think here in California they have additional cost for emission control. They showed me the MSRP with full options at $70K. Then they added another $20K as mark up.

Nah, all these cars are 50 state legal. Still, screw their markup. I know it's not exactly in the same league, but, remember when dealers charged a markup on PT Cruisers and Mini Coopers? Fashion is fleeting and I retail is enough. By show of hands, who wants a PT Cruiser? Thought not.

To the M3's credit, no options (hardly stripped) w/o markup @ $55K is a pretty good deal. Hell, even $70K fully loaded isn't too bad. How many other cars can you inflate the sticker by 27% with options?

the new m3 is nowhere near 90k! saw it at the LA Auto show and the sedan doesn't look good. coupe is the only way to go if you were to get one. too bad it doesn't have the 5 liter engine like its big brothers.
