It is awesome considering this is his first car.

Man, I don't know about your kids' driving skills, but I wouldn't do that.
My oldest son is about to turn 21, but he's not going to get anything over 100 BHP until he has at least 100 k miles under his feet, not if I can help it.
IMHO that car is way to powerful for a youngster to drive! I know it's really none of my business, but hey, I remember what I was like at that age

You are absolutely right Jef. Me and my wife were debating about it. I may end up buying a c-class Mercedes for him or a regular 3 series Bimmer.

Wait, I just got the latest issue of Car and Driver a couple days ago. I thought the as tested was $59k? The mag is out in the car, and I've got a scotch and my slippers on. I'm not going to look tonight.

I don't like the bumpers, I think the "hood bulge" is like a tumor and I think the wheels are so outdated on the M3. The wheels look like they were from the early years from the E46 M3s...

That said, I think the 335i is a much better looking car.

Heres some 335i's with some BBS wheels... Yum!!!

You wouldn't happen to be adopting, would you? j/k

I agree w/the others on this board, although it's absolutely NONE of our business...a 16yr old an '08 M3 right out of the gate is trouuuuuble in the making. Gotta work your way up the ladder as you learn how to drive & become responsible, right?
