Default Why not allow image linking?

Why not allow image linking for the garage pics and the others instead of uploading them to the site? It would cut down on the sites bandwidth and the pics would be up still after the site gets hacked, crashes, etc..

Actually we do allow image linking (I Think)...isn't that what the Hyper Link Function does?

I hired some experts in both site function and Security, so we'll get the problems solved, but all I'm asking is let's wait till I get the "all Clear" signal from our new guys. I'm a Ferrari/Lamborghini Mechanic for almost 30 yrs, not a Web Tech Guru, so I don't always have the answers to the Web Tech problems. But I know people who do and we'll get to the bottom of these attacks and end them once and for all and add features to enhance member usership. We may be able to recover some or most of the photos, I don't know yet, but we're trying to do all we can to stop these inconveinces to the members. And we will! But it takes a little time and I want to give the new guys the time they need to find the virus, eliminate it and lock down the safety of the entire site. I think we're only looking at a couple of weeks, and then we'll be done with these problems.

Hummmm....I guess you do! My bad. For some reason I always thought you had to upload them to the site for some reason. Sorry.

Anyway, I upgraded the site at the first of the year (05) to the Super Delux Package on our Server and we have Unlimited Bandwith and Storage Capacity.....so that is definately not an issue at this point
