Unhappy Problems viewing all new posts ??

Every time I log in to the site it will say "x" amount of new posts, today was 46 for instance yet I will only be able to view 1 page (16 posts). Is this something to do with a cookie or a browser setting ?

Anyone else get this issue? I mark forums as read before I log out but makes no difference........ Help

could it be right :
number of posts could be different from number of threads,
as you can have 2-3-4...new posts in a only thread

Honestly I haven't noticed a problem either, but if we can narrow down what you think the issue may be I can dig into it further.

See what you mean, as in a few people posting on each thread rather than one post per thread, makes sense :-)

I have this problem too. When there is alot of new unread messages I am not able to read them all before the system says I can't read them anymore. Even if I am still logged on. It happens almost every time when I respond to a message and then go back to continue reading the rest of my unread messages. I have learnt not to respond to any messages before I have read them all. This also always happens when there are more then one page to read. Let's say you have been away for a couple of weeks and there are 3 to 4 pages of unread messages. Is there a time limit somewhere in the system? Maybe somebody can look into this!
