I've been reading thru the posts on the Vette board http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...5&page=9&pp=20
with regards to Steve Miller's purchase of the 360 (initially posted here as well) and I happened to realize they are not displaying the number of post by their members. Wonder why...? Anyway, very interesting reading indeed and a must for anybody purchasing any hi end car. Just my 2 cents...

Jolly,
I went and looked at their Board(and read the follow-up on the Ferrari fiasco )For whatever their reasons are they simply have their board configered differently than ours. They appear to have stars instead of post count? We actually ran into a problem early on of people posting on every thread even if they had nothing to contribute, simply to increase their post count, so maybe those guys had the same problem, and decided to stop certian people from abusing the system? Post count in itself doesn't neccesarilaly tell the whole story, it's quality of content that actually defines who the real guys are. We have guys with 2 posts that are of the Highest Caliber and every number in between that and the highest number that are fantastic members. So just trying to catagorize members by post count is not a full proof method of determining quality. Although we have been able to make the count system work because our Mods are all owners and we try our best as a Co-Operitive Effort to keep LTalk the Best. |
