Smile Uprating Countach Brakes

I'm looking to upgrade my brakes (1988 QV) to some larger 4/6 piston calipers and possibly drilled/grooved rotors to improve braking.
i've tried contacting Movit (No answer)
so I was wondering what you guys have done? I've heard that Porsche 928 brakes 'Can be made to fit' but would prefer something 'proper'.
now thinking of AP, any views would be appreciated.
By the way I've heard that changing the pads to a more modern material can bring major braking improvements??

Countach 88.5 QV
Polished, extended ram pipes
K&N air filters
thinking about new exhaust headers

The biggest problem you will run into is the need for bigger wheels for clearance ((17's or 18's)....I personally hate this option on cars that want to remain stock appearing from the outside.

The AP pads squeal like a bitch and clank and rattle!!!

If you want to stay stock wheels then there are several options to increase braking efficency greatly!

Make your call.

if u want to keep your 15" wheels and want more brakes look into a set of bear monoblock calipers, and get a shop that deals with race cars or race brakes to custom fab up some brackets so u can mount your calipers on your rotors. if u can get a set of factory rotors u can get them drilled by a profesionall. i wouldnt get the old rotors on car drilled unless they were perfect a lot of porsche car that had factory rotor drilled ended up with cracks in rotor so be carfull and there u go bad ass brakes u might need a better master cylinder.

Chad Boles installed Wilwood Calipers on his CT.

Contact him for details.

On my car are AP Calipers

The easiest solution would be to change the pads and improve cooling.

Raymond: I would just like to change calipers on my Anniversary car. Can you recommend a set of calipers that would be fairly easy to install without major modifications?

For the AP calipers you need to have adapters, the guy I bought from supplied the whole kit with adapter and steel braided lines.
Unfortunately this guy doesn't respond to email any longer, I don't know what happened to/with him.
Anyway he took the wrong calipers, on these AP you can install a single pad type Ferodo FRP 3083H, there is another caliper, is more flexible in terms of disc size on which you can install standard pads but it's about $75 more expensive/caliper.
Also for this caliper type you need to produce adapters...

As mentioned Chad has a Wilwood kit which is less expensive and he can provide the whole kit ready to install.
And he can also supply lighter discs which will again reduce the unspun weight.
