Smile Towing Capasity for LM002

Hello out there.

Are that anyone who know any about the maximum towing capasity for thr LM, I have mounted a towing hook and I missing the info in my lisences paper for the car related to the max weigth with and without brakes. I hope some one can help me with a copy of a car with a towing hook fitted,

I need a copy of lisence paper to get my own lisence changed.

I can't help with your question but I was wondering if you had the rear Hitch custom made? Post pic's if you can.

It all depends on 1) your hitch and 2) the tongue weight.

Here is a picture of the towing hook , this is certified for 4000 kg. Plates or support are costum made.

Wish I could help...

However, I have seen a LM American towing a Countach on an open bed trailer. I have the picture at home somewhere. I will try to find it. I do not know how far the combo was towed, but you can use that as a weight estimate.

Not sure about the LM, but for the most part, when a tow hitch is put on after the fact, and not done with production at time of factory build, the true weight will be unknown. Just because they say it can pull a certain amount of weight does not mean by putting the hitch on afterwards the trucks capabilities are the same. If it is not a factory item, which in this case it is not. I would be extra careful pulling anything heavy with your LM. You dont want to ruin the transmission, nor cause any other damage that would cost significantly more to fix, especially on such a rare vehichle. In my opinion, i would refrain from pulling anything more than 1500 pounds.
