Default Itīs happened again !

1984 LP 5000.

I thought my clutch slave cylinder had a leak. I decided to remove the old one as the new one was on order. Got under the car and realised it was, yet again, the clutch thrust bearing that has failed.

This is the third clutch thrust bearing that has failed in 3000KM !!

Luckily this was original Lambo parts fitted by Lamborghini Madrid so it should be under warranty.

Has ANYONE got any idea what else could cause this other than just bad metal used in the thrust bearing collar.

Everytime it happens it is an engine out job and a 450Km delivery to Madrid.

Sorry to hear this Terry, nothing but bad luck for ELA12704 & ELA12706. Do you still have the heavy duty collar that I had made up?

Yes still have that collar but Lambo insisted they would not fit it ! lucklily it is within one year of the new Lamborghini original equipment being fitted so they are guarenteeing it.

Did you have the same problem with 12706 ?

That was the original problem that let to others that I cannot go into at this time. My attorneys are handling things at this moment. Keep us posted on what Lamborghini of Madrid does and recommends. I am curious on what their solution will be, I mean what are we to do pull powertrains every 3,000 KM to fix bad parts. Rubbish I have had them made better and am almost tempted to fit an upgraded one in my now that things are apart again.
Sincerely Vic, Best of Luck
