Default Pulsating Brakes

My brakes are pulsating just a tiny bit when I gently apply the brakes on my 2003 Murcie. Do I need to go and have the rotors looked at or rotated?

If it's pulsating a little bit, then you might have to resurface it only. You won't need new rotors.

Did you get this looked at? My 2003 does the same thing.

This is an easy problem to diagnois from the beginning!

Put the car in the air, pull the wheels and check "ROTOR RUNOUT" with a securely mounted "Dial Indicator" (and proper attactachments) .......adjust the Dial Indicator Needle so that it it completely unobstructed as the rotor is turned 360 Degrees by hand (several full turns will be needed) and not to close as to negate needle movement or to far away as to not be touching full circle. The SERO the Dial and slowly turn the rotor while watching the Needle.....more than .002" is not to hot....over .004" and Peddle Pulse can come into play.

Side note - Check the Wheel Bearings for PLAY Before Removing the wheels as this will skew the Dial Indicator Readings if the Bearings are loose!

(God I hope these New Techs at least know this much about diagnosing cars!!)
