Default Ready for the hoist

The car is now ready for the engine to come out. The table shows the parts removed except the exhaust.

The oworking area and please ignore the ( dare I say it ) replica on the ramp

Terry

the head gaskets are from Victor Reinz, I got mine through eurospares.
You can order them directly from any lambo dealer, take the complete head gasket kit. Costs must not exceed 900 Euro for the complete kit.

I fear the car is not high enough from the ground to remove the engine, OK beacuse you separate the gearbox from the engine it might be enough.
Anxious to see this...

Default Carb kits

Hi, there are quite a few full carb overhaul kits for the Weber carbs on Ebay. I bought a set for a buddies Ferrari 308 GT4 and fitted them. Made a reasonable difference to the car, found out one of the chokes had been sticking on due a a broken piece internally. My money would be to strip them yourselves, buy a home (zinc pasivate kit) and get the bodies ultrasonically cleaned! Then you can zinc all the parts you want to protect them for the future. I have a plain zinc and passivate kit, they are well worth the money ( and quite reqarding to do!)

Terry, I would like to see a bit more support under the car. Please be real careful getting under it. You might want to conside a few wooden blocks mid way along the edge under the door area out of the way just in case. Good job you don't live in earthquake country like here in CA!
