Default A little help would go a long way!!

Come on guys, I surely can't be the only one here that strives to maintain my own vehicles. I asked previously about bearing and seal numbers for the rear of a Countach, no response from anyone. Ok, that's good by me, no one remembers or took the time to record the part numbers. I'm a bit guilty in recording past findings also.

So let's move on to a new request that I would appreciate some input on. During my dismantling of the rear brake assembly, I found my parking brake calipers were slightly frozen up. After rebuilding them, they work great now, as the mechanical operation is now functioning as they were originally meant to do so. But I have a question about the friction material puck that is installed on both sides of the caliper.

The metal backing has an o-ring between it and the actual friction material that contacts the rotor. In order to have the friction supply house make me some new ones, I need to know the thickness of the original friction pads. Have any of you done this and kept your measurements? Also, does anyone have the original brake rotor thickness available?

With enough disposable time on my hands, I could just do all the measurements and arrive at a workable solution. The problem is finding that disposable time. Any help from anyone who has done this before would be extremely appreciated!!

THANKS !!!

I hope you have found some info. I can't help with pad thickness but my manual (I have a DD car but I doubt they differ) states the rotor thickness as:

front 32mm or 1.25 inch
rear 22mm or .86 inch

It says brake pads, front and rear, are part number
Tex Tar T260 FF

It also says that the discs maybe resurfaced but the reduction of disc thickness shouldn't exceed 0.06

A few phone calls can also be very helpful and Evans is
especially nice and helpful 614-471-7535
