Should have some news on the special Koni shocks very very soon.

FYI they are a fully hi tech system, and a lot of extra effort has gone into getting not only a proper shock absorber with the right compression, rebound characteristics, but a proper control of ride height AND they're being made out of titanium for many many good reasons.

Hope to have some photos for you within the next 4-5 weeks and some prices.

They also come with MUCH better springs with progressive rating keeping the car comfortable but with MUCH better control on those "limit" situations, and getting rid of the tendency for the front end to wash out on tight slower speed corners.

Lambos NEED proper shock absorbers. Spax are NOT proper shock absorbers and you may invalidate your insurance with such crap.

I'm actually having my front shocks refurbished, much cheaper than buying new ones

Just got a call from the garage, it seems KONI sold all spare parts and all spare shocks to lamborghini... So no refurbishing...

Anyone have a spare set? Or what about those new ones?

In brief, all spare parts for the suspension are sold to Lamborghini. KONI has nothing left...

The damaged parts have been made new, by a specialised shop. The rest of the parts were cleaned up and repainted. All brand spanking new

Simon, it looks very nice. And I must say, you practice excellent self restraint. I would have repainted the fender wells, brake calipers, etc. . . No wonder I'm always broke, hahaha!

SimonSays,
it looks very nice how much did it cost you to do that.
TIA

Hazim,

The company that did them is specialised in building race-suspensions. They took apart my shocks, and as they could not get new parts from KONI, they recreated them from scratch, and refurbished all other parts too.

In all it was only about 1000EU, plus all the work to remove and install the shocks, plus VAT...

If you need to rebuild your shocks, your price might be different, depending on what needs to be done on yours...

My other option was to have completely new shocks built to order, but the research & development would have taken too long. But still, it would have been cheaper than a set of new OEM shocks...
