A bit late to the party but leaking front shock brings me here for help.
Is the koni sport still available (8241-1079/1121)? Why isn't Spax liked? How good are Aldan? and are there any others? Many thanks |

Sky,
Schocks are available from Lambo, but they're about 800£ each... I had mine rebuilt with custom made parts, which was a lot cheaper ![]() If you're in the UK, you might ask Mike Pullen if he can help, though he didn't have any used ones when I asked earlier this year... You can send the shocks to my specialist, who can rebuild them for you as required |

Had Spax fitted for a while now. Not impressed at all. Bushes way too soft for the weight of the car so the rubber squashes out at the top of the bush. The front wheels ground out on the wheel well under heavy braking and rough roads. Raised the springs to above normal ride height and adjusted dampers to max but doesn't cure problem. come to the conclusion that the springs are not up to the job and the bump stop is not large enough to prevent the grounding when the springs totally compress. firming the damping only slows down the inevitable (and shakes you to bits on a public road!).
Looking to rebuild my way-ass shocks if poss. Has anyone done this? |
