Default Ignition Upgrade

JRV: I understand you supply the improved Ignition boxes that Raymond sells and talks about on this site. Couple of questions. What is the installation time on a Anniversary Countach? Does it make sense to do the upgrade even if the present system is working? Car has 2400 miles on it. Also, what is the price of the unit. thanks.

Installation time is 45 Minutes up to an hour.

Everyone I know is happy to have such a system installed and would never ever give it back.

Raymond: I am still hoping to get a response from JRV but, I was told that there was a problem on some cars with the accuracy of the tach reading being affected by the new ignition system. IS this a problem with the Anniversary car or, for that matter, any of the Countachs' today? Or have you worked out those problems. thanks.

The tach problems occur only on the later cars, Jalpa and LP500s to be exactly, the problem with those cars is the old style tacho doesn't understand the signal of the box.
There are some work arounds I already found.

On my QV the box is working fine since 2 years and my tacho is absolutely accurate, I never heard any complains from my customers so far.

I'll contact JRV later on.

Raymonds boxes are the best & the best price, they will work perfectly on an anniverary car. I highly reccomend them!!!
