Question Gear Issue

I just bought a Lamborghini Diablo 1992 and while driving @ 120 Km speed the gear jumps from 5th to neutral ! I was wondering if anyone of you happy Lamborghini Owners experienced this and how to solve this ?

TIA

This is usually and indicator that you have internal transmission problems. jumping out of gear is bad
sorry if I am the bearer of bad news

i have never encountered this and i would never expect this should happen. this is nothing typical; if you got ti from a dealer i would announce it and then keep everyone informed as to the response.
if it was from a private owner you are probably screwed; he knew about it.

Oh my God I am screwed

I got the car from a used car showroom which sells all type of cars and sadly in Kuwait when you buy a car they tell you are buying Metal & Rubber . Basically there is no warranty this is how things are in this part of the world.

I had the car check but this did not show up on the test.

I have experienced slightly similar problem with my Turbo Hayabusa bike but only when changing gear I used to get what they call false neutral but that with time disappeared ;I am hoping my Lamborghini will do the same as it only happens when i drive @120 KM and not at higher speed .

Thank you guys for your input .

the hayabusa problem disappeared? very weird. I have rebuilt tons of hayabusa transmissions. You must have bent the shifting fork back in the other direction. If it comes back get the transmission undercut. All the under cut ones we have done have not blown out again, oh and replace all the shifting forks. A car transmission is different than a motorcycle but they still have shifting forks. IF one is bent or you have worn bearings it can pop out of gear. I believe a syncro can also add to this. You could try adjusting the shift linkage under the car, but I would think that if it works in all the other gears it is probably adjusted correctly.

Suzukidave looks like you do lot of work on Hayabusa bikes that it great to know . It is weird I know , the problem disappeared by itself
I am not sure what i did right or wrong but my bike is doing vey well .

I will check the tranny , can I remove the tranny without the engine ? or do i need to take the engine out as well ?

Thanks
