Anyone give me a few tips on removing the transmission drive shaft? I am sure I will figure it out but hoping for a few pointers so that way I can save time and aggrevation.
Here's a few misc pictures.

If the pinion gear breaks, you don't have to pull the engine out to get at it. It can all be done from the bottom of the car. Now I have seen driveshafts break and that requires the engine to be removed. I post this kind of information on here to help anyone who wants to see what can be done to help cost of repair to stay down. Taking it apart was not really hard. I carry a digital camera and take pics before and after.

I contacted George Evans today. I am working out something as we speak. When it comes to lashing gears...I know very little about it. Luckily for me, George is not too far away. So if we work things out I will make a visit to him. I will keep you guys posted on the progress.
update: it looks like the way you get the transmission drive shaft off is with a slide hammer, in the front of the shaft, it's threaded...so I will post pics of that when I am done.
