Not sure we are on the same thing...but..

On the drivers side of your car, is were your posative lead comes into and is covered by a black plastic regtangular cover, it snaps right off, may be a bit sticky but it does snap off...

The red lead going to the rear is straight to the battery, then a very large fuse cross over, the red lead to the front goes to your car starter, computers etc..

The proper way to charge or jump start is to put the posative on the REAR red line cable screw and place your negative on the engine mount lift strap just below the ..

DO NOT put your posative and negative on the same block under the plastic cover....this is NOT like a USA car...EVERYTHING under the plastci is posative, you will fry your computers if you do that..

Hope this helps..

Default still is confusing! negative and positive

roy,on my 98sv just past the flex intakes, and before the engine, there is an ADDITIONAL black plastic that covers over the 4 hex nuts, the top of the cover has 3 circle screws looks like in a triangle. some older diablos dont have this covering.....im wondering how it comes off so i can negative properly. i understand what you said about the positive, but standing at the drivers side, there are 2 red screws to connect....is it to the LEFT toward the driver? or is it the one to the right?....i was told the one to the right, toward the rear is going to the alternator.. and to only connect to the screw thats LEFT of it (toward the driver) what is correct? thank you! regards, allen.

Save you the trouble. All you need is a good chassis ground anywhere.
