For a real Countach nut not even Sunday is a rest day...

Second part of the water pump finished, oil drain/air pump mount sanded, will be painted in shrink black and finally the mount of the fuel filter/pressure regulator changed.
The filter will be turned 90 degrees for better line placement, the lines will be leaded behind the protection wall, not as original in the lower left, I'll show pictures when done...

Meanwhile the heads are installed on the block and tighthened with 60Nm, later we will step up to the final 100Nm.
Still a bunch of work to do...

BTW, my engine has no engine number stamped on the Block...

As I know the number should be between the heads where the studs for the carbs are.

The red gasket stuff will be cleaned, the problem was the stud of the chain housing, the gasket was not correct at that position so we needed to cut it a little bit.

The oil vapor unit is now painted with black shrink paint like the valve covers.

I mounted the fuel filter in a 90 degrees turned position, the fuel lines were refreshed and insulated, instead of pulling them through the engine bay they were now behind the fire wall.
Also the power wires are now behind the wall.

Here the old setup:

New, see the difference...

Today was a hard working day...
I painted the engine bay, removed the old broken brake ducts and finally installed my MSD plug wires. My mechanic overhouled the distributor and mounted many things on the engine.
Pictures of the brake ducts will follow next week.

I bought a distributor of a 25th countach last year, now we made one good from these two, these are the old parts:

MSD Plug wires with original boots, that was an incredible work, took my about 3 full days to produce them...

Thank you all, but you know everything can be improved... so I throw away the original fuel filter mount and made my own one just some minutes ago...
