Next is polishing the combustion chambers:

Example of the Larini Parts:

BTW I had already SS headers...

so anybody interested in brand new Larini headers for a QV, will sell for my price.

With the actual exchange rate it would be $2300 plus shipment.

Thanks for the response. What type of mods will I be looking at
to fit them to my 86 quattro US FI?
Will I need to make a pipe to bring each bank into one?
Like the original was?

They have got to better then the original log style.
Theres got to be some HP left on the table here.
I was fooled by the heat shield. I actually thought they were originaly
full tubular headers.

For originality and resale Im thinking take the original exhaust completly off and custom build a new one from these headers back.

My next door neighbor wants to race with his modifeid
Mini cooper. Yuck!

Im thinking simple mods like full tubular headers and free flowing
Exhaust maybe some KN air cleaners.

What your thoughts?
Help me spank the cooper!
Oh yeah are you setup to accept Credit cards?

Thanks for your help.
Gerry

Looking into the parts book you have a y-style tube which brings the 2 headers into 1 which is then connected to the catalyst.
Since I've never measured such a car I cannot tell you if it fit's 100% but I suppose.

I cannot accept credit cards, wire transfer would be fine indeed.

Gerry,

price was already mentioned $2300 plus shipment, it's about 15Kilos, I can only accept wire transfer, no paypal.
If you are seriously interested I can get a shipment quote since I have to export them from switzerland.

Meanwhile the valve covers were repainted and one head is assembled, valve clearance perfect and ready to install.

emilio,

I have a garage with a F-specialist but Lambo-Nut doing the technical stuff.
I'm the sander, polisher and detailler and furthermore organizing the needed parts.

Of course more pictures will follow, the sense of this thread is:
1. to show that lambos have no rocket science
2. that the cars need specialists to look after
3. it's a bunch of work to bring the car to a proper state and maintain it

I think this thread is also good for the Lambo mechanics like John, Wil de Groot, Valtellina and so on because it shows that the time they are billing you was not wasted by coffee drinking

Meanwhile I sanded also the suspension parts and repainted them black, next week we will wrap the headers and insulate the firewall and gearbox tunnel

Stay tuned, much more to come.
