Default Clearing the computer

I had a Tubi Exhaust installed. How important is it to clear the computer after this is done? Are there any symptoms of non clearing that will arrise (lean fuel, rich fuel, etc). Also, the high flow cats that were installed have no heat sensor ports (I guess I have to go get a hole punched in them and a nut soldered on to put sensors in), are these important to fuel mixture, air mixture, etc?

When you say clear the computer are you throwing a check engine light?

As far as the probe in the pipe for the cats, all it does is check the temp to let you know if the cats are getting too hot which could mean you got too much fuel being dumped in there or running very lean.

i am not getting any check engine lights yet, but with a freer flow to the exhaust, everyone says to reset the computer. Their is a little hesitation upon loading the throttle (bogging sensation) and thought this was due to not reprogramming the computer.

I would rest the computer then...it's not a hard thing to do. Maybe 2 minutes top to do it.

In time the check light may go on, its cause of the back pressure when a sports exhaust is fitted, but it shouldnt affect how the engine is running. My check engine light use to come on every 2-3 months with sports cats but since i changed my system to straight through pipes that problem has gone and it now sounds like F1 car :-)

For diablos, you do not need to remap your ecu. Replacing the exhaust will not get you a check engine light. If you ever encounter the light up after the installation of the exhaust, you have problem with the o2 sensor or the cats.
