Default Battery Charging??

I let my 92 Diablo sit for about 2 weeks and went to take it out for a drive tonight and the battery was too low. Is there a way to charge the battery without taking it out of the car?? I've owned a lot of cars, but have no idea where to hook up the charger on a Diablo. Any help would be great!

Colin

The manual will give you the exact jump points....

Open the engine hood and use any good part of the engine as ground. There is a connection to the battery positive terminal that looks like a cigarette lighter plug near the left air filter.

Cool

Car batteries DO deteriorate do to consistant low charges so we want to keep them at 100%. There is a great product out there called "The battery tender" that maintains a consistant 12.8 volts (100% charge). It will also charge a low battery. It's about the size of a video tape and has a simple plug you can hide inconspicuously. You just plug it in when you store, or park for a while.

BAM! always fully charged......

I have no relations to the company and this is not spam!

Here's a way to do it so you don't have to keep opening body parts. That charger is called a charge cube manufactured by me, and yes this is a shamless plug!

Default You guys are great!

This is the best and most responsive forum I've ever been to. Thanks for the quick help!
Oh, and I live in West Virginia and the weather hasn't been very good. That's the only reason for it sitting. Otherwise I love to drive it!
Thanks again,

Colin

I may be wrong, but I think the cigarete charger plug in the engine compartment started in 96 when Lamborghini added the full CF skirts on the sides.

jac - the attachment we're reffering to should be in your Tool Kit

I think you're right. I just went out and looked all over for the cigarette lighter plug and could'nt find it. I just removed the panel for the battery and hooked it to the battery directly.

Colin,

next time ----- there IS a Battery + source in the engine compartment on early cars. On the left frame rail near the front of the engine compartment there is a isolated block (brown) with 2 large plus wires bolted to it covered on the ends by large rubber boots. You can peel back either one of the rubber boots for a direct + link to the battery and the engine block as mentioned for the ground (-) connection.
