The rebuild of Eric's Gearbox costs about the same, half of the amount is for parts (syncros, fork, bearings etc).

The colour of the oil is not really graceful...

If I believe what the report says, and having a close look to the pictures, these few more euros have saved me loooooooots of trouble in the very near future Some bearings are just dead-dead !

Eric, I have to say: you are a very courageous and genuine Lambo man.
I hope the 'Limbo dance' will stop before you go totally bankrupt
Only kidding, believe me, when she's finished she's gonna be worth a bundle.
As said by other people in other threads: CT prices are bound to sky rocket in the next couple of years. The Tahiti is your pension plan

Now the engine is in and almost running... the radiators are missing but already done, they should arrive on Wednesday.
I rewired the ignition box a bit and prepared another one in Marcel's garage for David's 25th.

Still missing, the radiator, should arrive tomorrow

Pieces awaiting installation

Thanks, but on Eric's car Marcel is doing the work, I help to locate parts and information, beside this I installed only the insulation of the gearbox tunnel and made the MSD ignition.

If there is no earthquake in Switzerland the chances are quite high for a drive
I will reregister the car on 1st or 2nd of March.

I'll ask Eric to send me a PM. It's only 800 kms (4 hours on the Autobahn, 2 hours and a couple of fines in Switzerland, yeah !), I'll take the pics myself.

Centre of Belgium, 1,5 hours from Aachen (daytime, otherwise: 45 min.). Seven to eight hours reasonably driving.
I'll book a nice hotel and drive back the next morning. Hey, I'll bring a Carrera 4 and see how bad it looks compared to the Tahiti !
(Probably will swap it for a Mazda in the morning).
