Marcel will have a look into the gearbox next week...

I installed the insulation this afternoon:

Hi Raymond,

Looks nice ! I hope it did not give you too much headache. Thank you very much !...I hope it's not too thick so I can still hear the engine

I think the guys are right, opening the gearbox is a must-do, and I feel better to know he will do it. I hope he will not find too much mess inside but again, as the gearbox is still on the ground, that is our one chance to check this gearbox and the whole transmission system, and bring Tahiti back to a perfect mechanical condition...though I know "reliable" is not in the Countach dictionnary. I trust Marcel will check it from A to Z...I hope he will not need too much long lead spares to be ordered..If so..well..I start drinking !

I am sure once properly set up, and more importantly serviced correctly, these cars are bullet proof. Had mine back 4 weeks and added 2000kms already, running better and stronger the more I use her.
She is still for sale through

Very sorry to hear this, I didn't know.

OTOH you need something to get other thoughts in your mind too...

Sorry to hear about your situation.

I lost my mother to cancer a while back. It is a disease I have a particular hatred for.

While I understand that your heart is not into the car at this point, I agree with Raymond. Your life now is full of concerns that will take most of your waking hours. But, if you can, hold off on the decision to sell. Memories can be an important thing, and if you and your wife shared happy times in the car,
it may be a decision you would regret later.

Our thoughts are with you.

Thanks, you may be right, I went for a long drive today in the sun along the meditereanean coast, It gave me some peace of mind and I came back home relaxed.

Not sure how to put it, but, I think you should keep the Countach Terry.
It will be a help to keep you busy, and your mind elsewhere.
Just a thought..
