Ciao Emilio,
Thanks for the email
Seems everything is there for the car to be ready in March
As usual, with my job, planning anything beyond the next 2 weeks is science fiction, but I still hope I'll be visiting SantAgata with Tahiti before the end of next year...that would be a good occasion to join you and have a ride with Raymond, Terry, and some of the europeans fellows here...

By the way, does anyone know of any special event in the Factory's calendar which would bring cars to SantaAgata by the end of next year ?..

Hi All

As for special Events next year - In 1972 the original Countach concept was approved for development as a road car, So.... in June 2007 we are going to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of the Countach in style!!!

I am currently organising a Lamborghini extravaganza!!! (although not at the factory!).
We plan to head across the Channel and stay at the Picturesque Chateau Tilques - 20 mins from Calais (France).
Arriving Friday 22nd June 07
Returning Sunday 24th June 07

For more details regarding the Chateau, please visit: http://www.chateautilques.com/

Places for this event are limit and will no doubt be in high demand – so early booking is advised.

ALL Lamborghini’s (and enthusiasts) are invited!
If anyone here is interested please pm me for further details.

Best Regards

Ian

Hi Terry,
Nice to see you again
I actually was wondering how much would a complete check up cost and, above all, how long will it take. I really want my car back on the road in March (this year...), but depending on what the mechanic says, I might go for it. Having a brand new engine, I would hate to end on the side of the road because of a gearbox problem...I really think that after the extraordinary work Marcel did on the engine, checking the gearbox (rebuilding it if necessary) may be worth it..
I'll keep you posted.

well worth it imo
since the engine is out and the engine rebuild it makes no sense to me not to check it (even if your gearbox is pretty strong)
